Tonight, I am resorting to some typical sunset pictures. Granted, it was a beautiful night. It really is easy to take a good photo when beauty is so natural.

We spent the weekend with Elaine in Naples. To get there, we drive about 80 miles north thru the keys, to the mainland. Then we take the Florida Turnpike north to one of my favorite highways – Tamiami Parkway (or 41). The whole trip takes about 4 hours. Tamiami Parkway goes thru the Everglades. This is where the air boat rides, indian villages and LOTS of wildlife are. Panther Crossing signs can even be spotted! Believe it or not, I only took one picture the whole trip.

Flip is working at a new residential site in Big Pine Key. Key deer swim across the canal from the refuge in search of food. They have to cross the job site to get onto the main key.

Yesterday, I saw sea grass congregating around a boat at the marina. The natural patterns it made was interesting:
It’s a typical Friday night at Marathon marina. Clear sky, 75° and calm. Everyone is out at the end of the west dock, down from our slip, waiting for the sun to set. I should have gotten everyone’s picture, but this is what I took instead:
Then it happens. Flip captured this sunset on his iphone:

It occurred to me today that I have not mentioned that, for the past 2 months, I have been working full-time for a CPA firm in Marathon, Florida. It only takes me 5 minutes to get there. I am not doing any accounting yet, but instead, I am in charge of document management and developing policies and procedures to go ‘paper-free’. I also help maintain the database. My day goes by fast and I look forward to going in every day. Flip is still enjoying his job, too. Just wanted to let everyone know that even though we live in the Keys, we still work!!
